Osteopaths

Deepak S. Yagnik - Principal Osteopath

Deepak has been in practice for almost 20 years, having graduated from the prestigious British School of Osteopathy in London. He has taught internationally and took over The Osteopathic Centre in 1999 when he arrived in Australia. His work has featured in The Sydney Morning Herald, Woman's Weekly and on SBS Radio. Deepak has a strong belief in educating and empowering his clients to a rapid recovery , providing cutting-edge Osteopathy adapted to the modern world.


Ainslie Gibbs - Osteopath

Ainslie Gibbs graduated in 2002 with a Masters of Osteopathy and has been a practitioner at the Hornsby Osteopathic Centre since the beginning of 2003. Ainslie uses a wide range of osteopathic techniques to treat the musculoskeletal system and caters a treatment plan to the individual. Ainslie treats all problems related to the musculoskeletal system including headaches, sporting injuries, postural problems etc but has a keen interest in treating pregnant women and women's health, having completed her Masters research in this area.

Colin Mahon - Osteopath

Colin graduated from The British School of Osteopathy in London and has been practicing for almost 15 years. His strong communication skills led him to pursue teaching Osteopaths alongside private practice. In his 13 years of teaching Colin has taught internationally and rose to a Senior teaching position at The British School of Osteopathy.

Adam Hart - Osteopath

Adam has been practicing at the Osteocentre for 7 years. He started as a deep tissue massage therapist and his committed interest in human biomechanics led him to undertake a Masters of Osteopathy at the University of Western Sydney. Adam uses a hands on, direct structural approach utilising soft tissue, exercise prescription, manipulation, and muscle energy techniques to treat biomechanical pain. This integrated osteopathic strategy is tailored individually to improve functional outcomes for each client. Intervention, awareness, and working within the client's capabilities can provide not only pain relief, but also reduce the likelihood of recurrence through prevention.

Morgan Langford-Salisbury - Osteopath

Morgan Langford-Salisbury qualified in Sydney and holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Osteopathy. With a background in Massage Therapy, Morgan uses an array of soft tissue techniques to release the muscles and fascia that support the skeletal framework. Morgan has a particular interest in Cranial Osteopathy - a gentle and effective alternative to structural Osteopathic treatment. However, she utilizes both Cranial and structural approaches in the evaluation and treatment of her clients.


Azharuddin Fazalbhoy - Osteopath

Led to Osteopathy through his passion for sports and science, Azharuddin graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Masters degree in Osteopathy. His interest in science nurtured a strong analytical approach and this, combined with his yearning for the answer, enables him to diagnose the root cause of the problem rapidly and accurately. Azharuddin's research thesis observed the characteristics of Muscle referred pain in subjects with chronic low back pain. Believing that patient education is imperative, Azharuddin possesses a unique ability to explain complex pain processes in language easy to understand empowering his clients to take control of their health.

Massage Therapists

Penny Robertshaw - Massage Therapist

Penny Robertshawe is a senior massage therapist with close to ten years experience. Her specialties are deep tissue massage and aromatherapy massage. She completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage and her Diploma of Aromatherapy at Nature Care College in Sydney.




Jason Hunt - Massage Therapist

Jason has a Diploma in Sport & a Diploma in Remedial Massage from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies. He has developed an in-depth understanding of pain management and knows that pain develops from common, predictable patterns of muscle imbalance & tightness that pull the bony framework out of alignment.

Jason is currently studying the Myoskeletal Alignment Diploma & Advanced Diploma at the Freedom From Pain Institute, giving him a greater understanding in assessment, treatment, & rehabilitation of muscle & skeletal imbalance, so as to stop strain patterns in his clients before they become pain patterns.

Herman Vasquez - Massage Therapist

Herman is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist. He incorporates a combination of Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release Therapy into his massage treatments. His training and experience provide him with the capacity to tailor appropriate massage treatments for athletes, people with chronic conditions and for those with special needs. Herman has a holistic approach to therapeutic bodywork, focusing on the cause of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms. Herman's clinical experience has been gained through working alongside Chiropractors, Physiotherapists and Osteopaths throughout Sydney. His interests include the prevention and treatment of workplace and sporting injuries, as well as general massage care within the community.

Homeopath

Miriam Phillipson - Homeopath

Miriam's passion is working with people and she enjoys treating all ages from babies to the elderly. She specializes in treating chronic conditions by finding and curing the underlying cause of these ailments.
Miriam is especially interested in helping to eliminate headaches, fatigue and mood disorders. As a Classical Homeopath Miriam treats the whole person as opposed to just isolated single sick parts. Her prescriptions are cost-effective and aim at restoring balance on a physical, mental and emotional level in order to achieve permanent resolution of most complaints. Miriam is a Classical Homeopath trained in Australia, who has recently returned from studying and working with leading practitioners and educators overseas. She holds Advanced Diplomas in Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Western Herbal Medicine as well as Diplomas in Nutrition and Remedial Massage from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies (ACNT) in Sydney. She has also been awarded Certificates in Iridology and Reflexology and is currently furthering her studies with a degree in Health Sciences at the University of New England (UNE). As Miriam is a registered member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS), most major health funds offer rebates for her consultations.
