Dr Jerome Smith

Jerome Smith is a British-trained osteopath who gained his qualifications at the British School of Osteopathy in London in 2012. He has been practicing in Australia for five years, treating a wide variety of patients from athletes and performers at the international level, to expectant mothers, children and the elderly. Jerome has extensive experience managing a broad range of musculoskeletal injuries and has developed a special interest in sport-related injuries and rehabilitation. In recent years he has worked with Woden-Weston FC Women’s Premier League soccer team (2016 season), Weston-Molonglo FC Men’s Capital and State League soccer teams (2017 season) and has provided pitch-side care for St. Edmunds College, Marist College and Canberra Grammar School boy’s rugby union teams. He has also completed a FIFA-certified Diploma in Football Medicine and has completed further training in advanced dry-needling techniques and strength & conditioning coaching. Jerome has worked in post-operative care at the Canberra Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (CAPS) clinic and the National Capital Private Hospital, Canberra. He has also provided rehabilitation services to the Australian Federal Police (AFP) College and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). Jerome has a strong focus on patient education and active rehabilitation. He is passionate about the effects of diet, exercise and stress on health, and uses his understanding of these concepts to successfully manage injuries and prevent their recurrence. He has a particular interest in the treatment of low back pain, headache, plantar fasciitis, jaw pain and tendinopathy.

Daniel is a passionate osteopath who completed his study at Southern Cross University, first enrolling into a Bachelor of Clinical Science (Osteopathy) and later on completing a Masters of Osteopathic Medicine. After experiencing back pain from an incident at the gym, Daniel found immediate relief from seeing a local osteopath. This inspired him to begin his journey in Osteopathy and use his skills to help others with pain, whether it is acute or chronic. Daniel is passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle and playing sport, in particular racquet sports, rock climbing and weight lifting. He believes that everyone should be able to enjoy exercise without pain and trusts that osteopathic care can help us to perform our best. Daniel provides osteopathic care to adults of all ages, with an interest in sporting injuries, low back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint pain and occupational strains. Russell has a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy and is a member of the Association of Massage Therapists. His typical clients include people over 40 with sore neck and shoulders, the over 50’s with sore legs , feet and heels , and the over 60’s with painful lower back muscles. These conditions can be from office work , driving , or just going about your daily business. Treating someone with pain or restricted motion is a challenging job. Russell assists in getting the body to respond to appropriate remedial treatments and maintenance plans. Patrick completed a Bachelor’s degree from the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2013 and has previously completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2011. Patrick is also involved with the well being program as the Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner on site at the Optus campus in Sydney, he utilizes TCM methods in his treatments such as acupuncture, Ba-Guan (vacuum cupping), Tuine (Chinese massage) and Gua-Sha (skin scraping) to enhance the treatments effectiveness. He is also a qualified Chinese Herbal Medicine prescriber and dispenser. Patrick is registered with the Chinese Medicine Board in AHPRA (CMR0001818167) as well as being an accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS #27483) he is eligible for rebate claims on most private health insurance funds.
