What is Cosmetic Acupuncture?

Cosmetic Acupuncture is the treatment to reduce the many signs of aging of the skin and face. Cosmetic Acupuncture promotes health and beauty and delays the signs of aging.

Rejuvenating “cosmetic” acupuncture practice dates back to the Song Dynasty of China (960-1279 A.D.). It was used by the Empress and royal concubines to maintain health promote fertility and beauty and delay the signs of aging.

The Skin is the body’s most visible organ; one that often defines our self – image.  It is often the first thing we look at upon waking to determine our state of inner health.

Cosmetic acupuncture is a form of treatment that specialises in rejuvenating and beautifying the skin and face. The fabulous pay off is that it also addresses many underlying health issues which can cause the many signs of aging such as; lines/wrinkles, sagging skin around jowls, discolouration or dullness of skin, loss of skin’s elasticity. The list is long and varied but it all adds up to looking more tired and older than one’s years.

Essentially, Cosmetic Acupuncture is a specialised area of general acupuncture. It is an addition to the system of acupuncture but more focused on the face and condition of the skin.
